Humidity

Drainage

Drainage is another big issue that can contribute to brown ZZ plant leaves. If the plant is sitting in a pot without drainage holes, excess water can accumulate at the bottom and lead to root rot.

Fixing

At first, exposure to direct sunlight, especially during the hottest part of the day and it can cause the leaves to burn and turn brown. You can place a tray of water filled with pebbles that is beneath the plant to create a humid microclimate.
