How to Grow
The ideal time to grow capsicum is around in summers. Get some seeds including red, green and yellow from a nursery. Capsicum needs a warm environment to grow fast. Capsicum germinates well when the temperature ranges between 18-35°C. Plant the seeds in a sunny spot that receives 4-5 hours direct sunlight.
Keep a distance seed to seed of 12-15 inches. For growing in house, get a potting mix and pot. Make sure the pot has water drainage holes. Place seeds in the potting mix, they should be 1/4 inches deep in soil. Spray some water with a spray bottle. Harvest the capsicum chillies only when they have reached the right color and size. Gently cut the chillies using a pair of scissors.
Care
After planting your capsicum in your garden, it will need watering a couple of times a week for the first month. You can water the plants deeply but less often to encourage stronger roots. Capsicum is sometimes prone to getting caterpillars on the leaves in summer. Keep an eye on your plant and pull off the caterpillars when you see them if you’ve got a keen eye. They need to be a potting mix soil if you plant them in pot in house.
