Potho Propagation in Soil

Place the container in a bright spot with indirect light. Keep the soil moist for a few days to enable root growth. The new plant grows fast once roots have developed on the pothos cutting. You’ll need a stem cutting for water propagation. Place the pothos plant cutting in a glass of water, ensuring the leaves stay above water. Submerge every root node but not the leaves. When the pothos roots show 2-3 inches of new growth, plant your rooted cuttings in a small pot with drainage holes.

Divide the roots of the mother plant into segments. Then, find a natural point of separation in the crown and gently begin to tease the plant apart, loosening the roots and stems as you go. They can become quite tangled up. Plant one part back into the original container and fill in around it with soil. Water to settle, and add more substrate if necessary. After few months new saplings with flowers will sprout very soon.
